Pre-Order Koi

I missed the pre-order cutoff date, can I still pre-order?

Unfortunately, once our pre-order window is closed, we are unable to take additional requests.

On Friday, December 4th at 5 pm PST all the available koi will be public on our website. Then on Monday, December 7th at 12 pm PST all the koi will have an “Add to Cart” button where you can purchase the koi online.

Please sign up for our newsletter on our website so that you receive our email alerts for when the koi will be available this December and also for next year’s pre-order program.

Is my pre-order refundable if I don't like the koi that you found for me?

Yes, it is 100% refundable. If you pre-order a high-end koi that is over the price of $1,500, we will personally contact you while we are buying koi in Japan and confirm that you would like to purchase the koi before we import it from Japan.

What if I pre-ordered 5 koi and I only like 3 of them that you chose?

We can apply your original $500 pre-order to the 3 koi that you would like and then you can pay the balance of the total order.

Koi Buying

When can I buy koi online?

All koi buying in recent years is done online.

On December 4th, 2020 at 5 pm PST, all the available koi will be posted online for viewing only. This allows our customers to browse through our inventory and bookmark the koi they are wanting to purchase.

On December 7th, 2020 at 12 pm PST, all koi will be available for purchase through our website. Each koi will have an “Add to Cart” button.

Can I come into your koi showroom and pick out my koi from your holding tanks?

Unfortunately no. Because of COVID-19, we have changed how we do business to limit the number of interactions that our employees have with the general public.

We take high-quality video’s and photographs of each koi so that you can purchase the koi with confidence from your own home.

Why do I have to wait until March 1st, 2021 to receive my koi?

Since 2018, we have started a 4-month quarantine process for koi. Please watch this video for further explanation.

Koi Pickup/Shipping

When can I pick up my koi from your Rocklin, CA location?

As March 1st, 2021 approaches, we will be contacting you to schedule a pickup day and time.

Koi pickups are done by appointment only. Unscheduled pickups may not be able to be accommodated.

I don't live near your facility. How will you ship koi to me?

We can ship koi directly to you through UPS Next Day Air. There is an additional shipping charge per koi shipment that can range from $75 – $200. Depending on the size of your koi, we can ship 3-6 koi per box.

Currently, we can only ship koi to the contiguous 48 United States.

We can ship koi to Hawaii but the shipment has to go directly to Honolulu. You would then have to pick the shipment up there. This is because of the live animal importation policies.

How much does shipping cost?

We ship koi using UPS Next Day Air.

Since we are shipping from California, you can estimate the cost of shipping based on the region that you live.

Shipping to:

West Coast (PST Zone): about $75 – $100 per box

Mountain (MST Zone): about $100 – $150 per box

Central (CST Zone): about $125 – $175 per box

East Coast (EST Zone): about $150 – $200 per box

Depending on the size of your Koi, we can ship 3-6 Koi per box.

My pond is not ready to receive koi. Can you delay shipping?

Your koi is available for pickup or shipment after the quarantine process ends on March 1st, 2020. If you cannot pick up or accept shipment before April 15th, 2020, we then require a weekly boarding fee per koi from that point forward. The rate to board koi is:

$7.50 per koi per week.

Your koi will continue to be held in a temperature-controlled environment and fed daily.
